Roger Alexander to Lead AREVA NP in Canada

AREVA announces that Roger Alexander has joined the company as Vice President, AREVA NP Canada Ltd., headquartered in Pickering, Ontario. He will lead AREVA NP’s growing nuclear power business in Canada.

Roger was previously with Siemens Canada Ltd., where he was Senior Vice President, responsible for manufacturing and engineering related matters for all Siemens companies in Canada. Roger was also responsible for environmental, health and safety issues. Prior to joining Siemens Canada in 2001, Roger was the President of Siemens ElectroCom Sorting Systems.

Roger received his Diploma in Electrical Technology from Ryerson Polytechnic University in Toronto and a Master of Business Administration from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario. He has served on the Board of Directors for the Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters Association and is a member of the Ontario Association for Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists.

AREVA employs over 1,000 individuals in Canada to serve the important commercial nuclear power industry. AREVA NP designs and builds commercial nuclear reactors around the world and provides engineering, plant technical services and staffing resources in Canada. AREVA NP is the only reactor designer currently building a technologically advanced Generation III+ nuclear power plant, the EPR, with two under construction in Europe and two more in China.
