AREVA Signs Agreement with Cegertec for Nuclear Services Partnership

AREVA Canada signed a three-year business development agreement with Cegertec to promote engineering services for maintenance and service work in the Québec nuclear energy market. The agreement capitalizes on shared synergies, staffing resource coordination and their respective expertise in nuclear and electric energy fields, increasing the scope of their nuclear services offers.
AREVA Canada is a leader in engineering, services and staffing for the nuclear sector in Canada, with experience in CANDU reactor types, as well as boiling water and pressurized water reactors. As part of a global network providing solutions for severe accident management, enhanced plant reliability, and optimized outage schedules, AREVA Canada offers a network of French and English speaking professionals.
Cegertec, part of the Ceger Group, has expertise in engineering, construction and manufacturing, notably in the sectors of electrical energy and industrial applications. With 1,000 employees and a turnover of more than $130 million CAD, Ceger Group major clients include Hydro-Québec and the electrical energy division of Rio Tinto Alcan, the largest private energy producer in Canada.
The agreement is an extension of the working relationship between AREVA and Cegertec who have already worked on projects in Québec, India and the United States.
