The Field Reports

In a highly competitive market, it is important for AREVA to inform its customers of the added value it brings through its teams' experience in the field. This has motivated the launch of its Field Report communications campaign. Each Field Report highlights one of AREVA's market strengths.

Field Report #9: Project Delivery

On October 23, the Taishan 1 EPR™ reactor built by TNPJVC reached a major milestone with the successful dome lifting. This major milestone achieved with our customer-partner CGNPC is a good illustration of AREVA’s ability to convert lessons learned captured from Olkiluoto 3 and Flamanville 3 into solid results.

Find out how utilities are benefitting from series effect for their new build projects.

Field Report #8: Offshore Wind

Today, offshore wind farm operators require strong partners offering large turbines with enhanced reliability, proven track record, high-performance and cost-effective design for higher water depths and greater distance to shore.

Find out how AREVA is helping utilities to make offshore wind projects successful.

Field Report #7: Fleet Safety

Experience shows that very unlikely events occur and that plant operators need efficient systems to safely shutdown their plants and to remain in control in case of an unexpectedly complex sequence of events.

Find out how AREVA is helping utilities demonstrate the safety of their nuclear fleets, while reinforcing public confidence.

Field Report #6: Fuel Security of Supply

The context has changed, but tensions in the marketplace may remain between fuel cycle supply and demand. For utilities, that means that securing fuel supply is more than ever a daunting challenge.

This goal is reachable with AREVA’s unique investments in a diversified supply chain of uranium and fuel cycle services.

Field Report #5: Nuclear Energy

Since March 11, the energy context has changed but not fundamentals: produce a safe and affordable electricity to meet the growing energy demand. That means producing massive affordable low-carbon electricity with a balanced energy mix that includes nuclear power – with the utmost safety.

Find out how AREVA brings a uniquely extensive global track record of plant safety commitment and experience with regulatory authorities to help customers achieve their objectives for safe and profitable plant operation, as well as long-term public acceptance.

Field Report #4: Outage Excellence

To meet their plants performance objectives, utilities are setting stringent goals for outages, especially in terms of safety, quality, duration and cost.

These goals are reachable with AREVA’s uniquely comprehensive worldwide experience, supported by committed and highly skilled teams who are driven to deploy proven, innovative technologies and solutions.

Field Report #3: Low-Carbon Power Generation

Facing climate change issues, utilities are looking for long-term strategies to optimize their investments and manage uncertainties – like fossil fuel costs and CO2 price. This goal is reachable with an optimum combination of AREVA’s nuclear and renewable energy technologies.

FIELD REPORT #2: Operations performance: Fuel Reliability

Close collaboration secures fuel performance and reliability. We share a common goal with our customers: to harness the highest level of expertise, innovation and in-reactor experience feedback for safe and successful fuel operation, no matter how tough the conditions may be.

Field Report #1: New Plants Safety & Licensing

Fulfilling new-generation safety requirements makes economic sense. Utilities must satisfy new and ever increasing safety requirements and achieve the best economics possible. The EPR™ design does both. Watch, listen and read the complete Field Report on New Plant Safety & Licensing.
