May 22, 2013

SASKATOON, Saskatchewan, May 22, 2013 – AREVA Resources Canada Inc. is helping children from three Saskatoon community schools and one in northern Saskatchewan attend tonight’s MasterCard Memorial Cup game between the Saskatoon Blades and Portland Winterhawks.

As a major local MasterCard Memorial Cup sponsor, AREVA is making it possible for 50 children each from Caroline Robins, Confederation Park and Vincent Massey Community Schools to attend tonight’s game at the CUC Centre in Saskatoon.

AREVA also is sponsoring a group of 14 young people from the Northern Saskatchewan community of Wollaston Lake to fly down for the day to Saskatoon to attend the game this evening after a full day of activities including an on-ice mini-camp with former Prince Albert Raider and NHL player Rich Pilon.

“AREVA has been active in Saskatchewan for nearly 50 years, and during this time we have partnered in many ways with the communities in which we live and work. Whether it’s Memorial Cup hockey or the Bridge City Boogie road race, AREVA is proud to support initiatives that keep our communities healthy and positive places to work and play,” said Vincent Martin, President and CEO of AREVA Resources Canada.

AREVA partnered with Cameco Corporation, SaskPower and WestWind Aviation to bring youth from three northern Saskatchewan communities to the event.
