CHARLOTTE, N.C., Sept. 4, 2013 – AREVA has entered into a long-term integrated outage services contract with PSEG Nuclear for outage and maintenance activities at the Salem units 1 and 2 and Hope Creek nuclear generating stations in Salem County, N.J.
“We are proud to contribute to the success of PSEG and are committed to providing competitive and quality solutions to the nuclear industry in the United States over the long term,” said Philippe Samama, AREVA Installed Base Business Unit executive vice president. “AREVA’s selection validates our culture of safety and operational excellence, and our ability to support all types of nuclear technology, including boiling water reactors.”
The scope of work covers refueling, inspections and steam generator services, and operations will begin in fall 2013. As part of these activities, AREVA will provide services for two pressurized water reactors and a boiling water reactor.
