ADZ Names Bob Fraser as President to Lead AREVA/Day & Zimmermann Joint Venture
March 10, 2014
CHARLOTTE, N.C., March 10, 2014 – AREVA and Day & Zimmermann today announced that Robert G. Fraser has been named president of ADZ, LLC, the joint venture between the two companies. In this role, Fraser will advance the company’s mission to unify engineering, procurement and construction services for the benefit of the U.S. nuclear power industry.
“I am honored to serve as the president of ADZ,” said Fraser. “As the business continues to grow, ADZ is poised to serve the U.S. nuclear industry with the operational excellence needed to ensure the safety and reliability of the U.S. fleet.”
Fraser comes to ADZ with more than three decades of nuclear industry experience across the nuclear plant life cycle, including roles in new builds, plant operations and maintenance, major modifications, decommissioning, and used fuel storage. Prior to joining ADZ, Fraser held leadership roles at reactor technology providers, architect engineering firms, and electric utilities. He holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Marquette University and earned his U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Senior Reactor Operators license in 1982.
Following governance restructuring in 2013, ADZ appointed a board of directors comprised of AREVA’s George Beam and Gary Mignogna, and Day & Zimmermann’s Mike McMahon and Walt Sanders. Fraser replaces Mignogna, who served as president of ADZ, LLC, since the joint venture was formed in 2009.
