AREVA Inc. Selected as Engineer of Choice By Talen Energy

CHARLOTTE, N.C., September 24, 2015 – AREVA Inc. has been selected as one of Talen Energy’s Engineer of Choice (EOC) providers to support the nuclear reactor operations at the company’s Susquehanna Nuclear Power Plant in Pennsylvania. Under the three-year contract, AREVA has first rights to provide Talen Energy with engineering services at a fixed rate.
AREVA offers the only comprehensive EOC contracts for the U.S. nuclear market. These contracts include engineering services for nuclear steam supply systems, balance of plant, commercial grade dedication, and component repair and replacement, as well as support for licensing and regulatory affairs. The company currently is an EOC partner for six utilities, representing 41 plants.
