AREVA Inc. Donates 14 Generators to Aid South Carolina Flood Recovery Efforts

AREVA Inc. donated 14 Baldour DGE-3000 watt industrial electric start diesel generators to the Aiken County EMD.

CHARLOTTE, N.C., October 23, 2015 – AREVA Inc. donated 14 diesel generators to the Aiken County (S.C.) Emergency Management Division in support of the agency’s response to flooding in the state.

“At AREVA, we are dedicated to supporting the communities where we live and work,” said Greg Vesey, senior vice president of AREVA TN Americas. “Recent heavy rain and flooding have had a devastating impact on South Carolina and donating these generators to emergency responders was one way in which we could help.”

The Aiken County Emergency Management Division, which coordinates the county's integrated emergency management system, will distribute these generators to areas with the greatest need.

Aiken County, S.C., is home to more than 220 AREVA Inc. employees and their families.
