“We are so pleased to have AREVA as a partner with Beacon of Hope,” said Joan Foster, director of fund development at Beacon of Hope. “Together, we can ensure that our public school youth have a hope and a promise that they can get to graduation day with a plan in place for their future, whether it be technical or trade school, or a two-year or four-year post-secondary degree.”
In line with AREVA’s corporate focus on science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education, the company supports a number of Lynchburg-area organizations, including the Central Virginia Governor’s School, XLR8 STEM Academy and Amazement Square. AREVA employees also help build a future workforce by visiting local classrooms to spark students’ interest in exploring STEM topics and careers.
