AREVA, a global leader in nuclear energy and a significant, growing player in renewable energy, announces today that it has been named a Top Work Place by the Bay Area News Group* for its operations in San Jose, Calif. AREVA is ranked at 29 in the small business category.
The ranking recognizes AREVA’s San Jose operations, which were established in November 2007 to support AREVA’s advanced reactor program and existing nuclear plant modernization projects.
The Top Work Place ranking was based on employees’ feedback from an independent survey conducted by Workplace Dynamics. Feedback was gathered regarding the work environment, values and ethics, compensation, training and development opportunities, leadership and the company’s future prospects.
“We were honored to be nominated for this award by our employees and are now proud that we have been selected as a Top Work Place in the Bay Area,” said President and CEO Jacques Besnainou. “Nearly three years ago, we set out to establish an office where there was a rich talent pool of technology professionals to support the needs of our business. Through the feedback provided in support of this nomination, it is clear our employees in San Jose agree that AREVA provides a motivating work environment, competitive compensation and benefits, and flexibility that supports them and their families.”
