AREVA supports its clients in the design and construction of all or part of their plant (nuclear steam supply system, nuclear island, entire plant). Of the 300 light water reactors currently in use around the world, 100 of them are AREVA achievements, which is an indisputable asset for customers in managing the cost and lead time of their projects.

The current range of reactors provides a combination of power levels - from 1100 to more than 1650 MWe - and technological approaches customized to each requirement.
It consists of three advanced generation models: the EPR™, ATMEA1™ and KERENA™ reactors, all of them meeting the latest requirements:

U.S. EPR™ Reactor
A U.S. EPR™ project will help meet both the growing demand for electricity and low-carbon emission requirements by delivering 1,600+ MWe net of power generation with less carbon.
Supporting all critical steps of new nuclear development, AREVA's integrated offer encompasses design, certification, engineering services and construction expertise of building new nuclear plants, including associated services and all stages in the fuel cycle.
ATMEA1™ is a 1,100 MWe reactor, suited to all types of electrical networks, in particular to mid-sized networks. It will especially benefit utilities already acquainted with pressurized water technology. It is designed and developed by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and AREVA in their joint company ATMEA.
This reactor is a 1,250 MWe reactor, suited to all types of electrical networks, in particular to mid-sized networks. It will especially benefit utilities already acquainted with boiling water technology. It is designed on the basis of the latest reactors of the Gundremmingen power plant (Germany).
