Exploration for uranium in Saskatchewan's Athabasca Basin

AREVA Resources has been exploring for uranium in Saskatchewan's Athabasca Basin since 1964. In 2004, AREVA became the first uranium company in Saskatchewan to be ISO 14001 certified for exploration activities. AREVA Resources is also exploring for uranium in other parts of Canada, such as Nunavut.

Midwest Project

The Midwest Project will comprise an open pit mine and a utility corridor to move ore and treated mine water to the McClean Lake operations for processing.
