There is something magical about energy! Fill up at the pump and the car is ready to roll; flick a switch and the house is flooded with light… but in fact, things are not quite as simple as they appear. What we commonly refer to as "energy" is derived from the transformation of raw, or primary, sources of energy. To learn more about these primary sources, play the "Energy Memory Game".

Aerial view of the Midwest Project

The Midwest Project, located 16 kilometres west of McClean Lake, will comprise an open pit mine and a utility corridor to move ore and treated mine water to McClean Lake. The ore will be processed at the McClean Lake mill.

Midwest

Due to economic factors, such as low uranium prices and increased development costs, the Midwest project has been postponed. The environmental assessment and engineering activities are still continuing to allow the project to proceed when market conditions improve.
