AREVA’s Clean-up division relies on the provision of complementary products to ensure the production of clean, safe and sustainable nuclear power for its customers: training, worksite support services, process management, specialized maintenance, health physics studies and measurements.
The Midwest Project, located 16 kilometres west of McClean Lake, will comprise an open pit mine and a utility corridor to move ore and treated mine water to McClean Lake. The ore will be processed at the McClean Lake mill.
Due to economic factors, such as low uranium prices and increased development costs, the Midwest project has been postponed. The environmental assessment and engineering activities are still continuing to allow the project to proceed when market conditions improve.
